My recommendation on finishing your rugs with luxury felt:

1. Apply your glue to the back of your rug and allow the glue to dry half-way until it's "tacky" (this means when you touch it it's sticky but doesn't come off onto your finger).

2. Now is when you should apply your luxury felt backing - cut the felt to size, remove your rug from the frame, and use a strong spray glue on both the back of the rug and the side of the felt you're going to stick onto the back of your rug.

3. Once you've applied a generous amount of your spray glue onto both surfaces, allow this to "tack" for about 1 minute, and then carefully apply your luxury felt onto the back of your tufted rug.

4. Smooth out the felt onto the back of the rug evenly by rubbing it from the center toward the edges in all directions (I use my spray glue can for this).

And that's it! You have professional backing for your tufted rug.
